Absolutely. Dr. Sanders and Dr. Cabrera are Invisalign Premier Preferred Providers and we are happy to offer Invisalign to both Teens and Adults.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child should have his/her first orthodontic check up by the age of 7. At that time, Dr. Sanders can evaluate for problems that may need to be addressed at an early time. If treatment is indicated, there are usually significant benefits associated with early orthodontic treatment.

Yes, about 30% of our patients are adults and this is a growing percentage. We offer multiple types of esthetic treatment options for adults.

No one is ever too old for braces. As long as you have healthy roots and strong teeth, it is possible to achieve a beautiful smile.

We accept all PPO dental insurance plans. Please be advised that most orthodontic plans only offer benefits up to the age of 19 or 26. If you are a student, there may be a waiting period.

We accept all major credit cards, checks and cash.

Unfortunately, no. You may find that most orthodontic practices in Miami do not accept Medicaid because in the state of Florida, Medicaid along with any of it’s associated companies (Florida Healthy Kids, MCNA, DentaQuest, etc.) only cover orthodontic treatment if it’s medically necessary.

Our office is open Monday-Thursday from 9:00AM-6:00PM and we are closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If there is an emergency that happens after hours, our on-call team member can be reached directly via our emergency cell phone.

Absolutely. We currently accept transfer patients and the initial examination is free. Our practice has seen many patients who have moved to Miami from other parts of the country and even across South Florida. Our doctors will gather records from your previous orthodontist, complete your diagnostic records, assess the current status of your case and discuss a treatment plan for completing your orthodontic treatment.

All visits are included in the total treatment fee and there are never any additional charges for office visits. Most patients choose to take advantage of our 0% financing and establish a payment plan with our office. In those cases, our office will arrange an automatic payment plan and the payments are independent of when you visit the office.

Dr. D and Dr. G see every patient at every appointment in our office. The appointment interval, or time between each visit, may be between 4-10 weeks depending on the procedures that need to be done.

Appointment length depends on the type of adjustment you need. Routinely each appointment is about 30 minutes long but can be as long as an hour.

We strive to treat all of our patients on-time and there should never be a wait for longer than 5-10 minutes.

All emergency appointments are included in the treatment fee and there will never be an extra charge for emergency appointments.

Treatment times vary on a variety of factors and may range from 3-36 months. At the time of your initial orthodontic consultation, Dr. Sanders or Dr. Cabrera will evaluate your individual needs and inform you of your estimated treatment time.

Although you will have soreness at times, you shouldn’t feel any serious pain during treatment.

At our office, there are never any hidden fees. The first set of retainers are included in your total treatment fee and there may be an additional cost if retainers are lost or broken.

Call our office right away if your retainers are lost or broken. We like to evaluate our patients to determine the best way to proceed. Most times, it’s as easy as taking a new impression so that a new retainer can be made.

Since teeth have a tendency to move back to their original positions if retainers are not worn, there is a great chance that teeth can move and an additional phase of orthodontic treatment may be needed.

Our doctors recommend having regular cleanings every 3-4 months during active orthodontic treatment in order to reduce the risk of caries and decalcification.

For the safety of our patients we use lead aprons with thyroid collars when taking x-rays.
